Planned Giving Department adds new material to web site

In an effort to provide informative, helpful and interesting information to assist persons considering a charitable gift, the Foundation is partnering with Crescendo Interactive, a provider of presentation software, eMarketing tools and resources for planned giving professionals.  The new content is incorporated into the Foundation web site maintaining the look and navigational structure of the existing pages.  A new web address of www.bicgift.org has been registered to provide direct access for users seeking the Planned Giving pages.

Board of Directors appoints new members to fill vacancies

At its semi-annual meeting held on November 19, 2004, the Foundation Board of Directors appointed William S. Dick, Georgia Myers and Charles R. Starr to fill the vacancies created by the completed terms of Linda Barto, Jeffrey Enico and Donald Winters.  These individuals bring training and experience in the practice of law, banking and accounting in addition to a passion for ministry.  To read their biographical summaries please click here

Canadian Conference Congregation participates in the Brotherhood Loan Fund

Because the ministry need for The Meeting House Church Family exceeded the scope of the BIC Fund in Canada, the BIC Foundation of the US was able to provide the funds needed to purchase the facilities located at 2700 Bristol Circle, Oakville, Ontario.  The property purchased comprises a 9.3 acre parcel of land improved with a 105,200 sq.ft. former industrial facility.  The property is located in northeast Oakville, within the Winston Business Park near Dundas Street and Winston Churchill Boulevard.  The location is strategic for The Meeting House with excellent access to Highway 403 and the QEW. 

The renovation plans will add approximately 1,485 sq.ft. on a second level as a projection room, bringing the total facility to 106,685 sq.ft.  Approximately 69,485 sq.ft. will be converted for church use involving fully finished area, including a large foyer, a main gallery with shops, administrative offices, a large auditorium comprising 19,600 sq.ft., a second auditorium, a youth area, prayer and conference room, as well as a preschool area. Approximately 37,200 sq.ft. of space will be retained for industrial plant utilizations. A loan of 3,050,000 dollars was provided for the purchase with an additional 1.5 million to be made available for the renovations.

BICF funds large loan from the Brotherhood Loan Fund

On April 20, 2004 La Roca Firme BIC settled for a 3.69 acre vacant site in Hialeah, Miami-Dade County, Florida.  The property is located at the Southwest Corner of West 64th Street and West 20th Avenue and fronts to West 21st Court across from the current church property.  This location has excellent visibility from and access to the Palmetto Expressway and provides the La Roca congregation space to develop facilities for their rapidly growing ministry.  A loan of 2.75 million was provided for the purchase.
