Balanced Fund

GENERAL INVESTMENT PROFILE

The Life Income Balanced Fund will balance investments in the stock, bond, and short-term/money market asset classes to achieve diversification and reduce volatility.  Stock investments will provide capital growth to outpace inflation, while bond investments will provide a measure of stability and an income component.  Stocks and bonds often complement each other by softening the effects of normal, but unpredictable, declines in any one market.  Using bonds in a diversified portfolio generally reduces volatility, because historically, bonds have performed differently than stocks at different times.  An allocation to the short-term or money market asset class provides further diversification and liquidity to invest in other asset classes as opportunities arise.

INVESTMENT OPTIONS

The Life Income investment options are comprised of funds that are selected from the broad market of mutual funds or of funds selected from mutual fund companies that make an effort to limit their holdings to the stock of companies providing goods and services benefiting society with limited negative effect to the natural environment.
